Kansas State women’s soccer set two program records Thursday night, earning a 2-0 win over Cincinnati at Buser Family Park. The victory marked K-State’s most wins in a single season and most home wins in a season.
Senior midfielder Jayce Woodward opened the scoring in the 51st minute with her first goal of the year, striking from distance to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. Eighteen minutes later, Woodward’s shot rebounded to Andra Mohler, who scored her fourth goal of the season to seal the win.
K-State (7-4-3, 2-3-2 Big 12) outshot Cincinnati 17-6 and held the Bearcats without a shot on goal. Goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing recorded her eighth shutout and seventh win, both new school records.
The Wildcats will return to action Sunday, hosting No. 24 West Virginia at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
