Kansas ended October 2025 with total tax collections of $695.6 million, which is $47.0 million, or 7.2%, higher than the estimate. Collections increased 4.1% compared with October 2024.

Individual income tax brought in $367.4 million, exceeding the estimate by $67.4 million, or 22.5%, and up 17.9% from last year. Corporate income tax collections totaled $15.9 million, falling $24.1 million, or 60.2%, below the estimate and down 58.2% from October 2024.

Combined retail sales and compensating use taxes reached $289.5 million, $3.5 million, or 1.2%, above the estimate but slightly down 1.7% from the previous year.

While overall collections show growth, shortfalls in corporate income taxes highlight ongoing challenges as the state monitors revenues and prepares the Fiscal Year 2027 budget.
