Wildcats Sweep Texas Tech for First Big 12 Home Win

Kansas State earned its first Big 12 home win of the season with a 3-0 sweep of Texas Tech on Friday night at Morgan Family Arena.

K-State (10-4, 3-3 Big 12) took the match 25-15, 25-14, 25-19 behind 16 kills from Shaylee Myers and a double-double by Aniya Clinton, who finished with 14 kills and 13 digs. The win marked the Wildcats’ third straight victory over the Red Raiders (8-10, 0-6 Big 12) in the Jason Mansfield era.

K-State hit .421 in the opening set and limited Texas Tech to a -.080 hitting percentage in the second. Caleigh Ponn added three service aces, while setter Ava LeGrand tallied 13 assists in the first set alone.

The Wildcats controlled the match from start to finish, leading nearly wire to wire. They return to action Wednesday against Iowa State.
