RCPD Training at USD383

RCPD and emergency personnel, including the Manhattan Fire Department, Riley County EMS, and other partners, are set to engage in a joint active violence training exercise next week.

Over three consecutive days, the exercise aims to enhance interagency collaboration during crisis situations.

Lieutenant Tim Schuck, RCPD’s Active Violence Training Instructor, emphasized the importance of realistic training to equip officers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to handle such situations effectively.

The exercise, scheduled from July 10 to July 12, 2023, will take place at Amanda Arnold Elementary School, with signs assuring the public that there is no danger.

USD 383 expressed gratitude for the opportunity, recognizing the benefits for the community and students.

RCPD and emergency personnel extend their appreciation to USD 383 for their support in planning and hosting the training exercise.
