This summer, River Valley Extension District will offer an eight-week program called Stay Strong, Stay Healthy. This is a strength training program created for older adults wanting to improve their quality of life. Since it is evidence-based strength training, the exercises are effective and easy to learn. The program was developed by University of Missouri Extension researchers and specialists. The class will include warm-ups and cool-down stretches too.
Participants will meet for one hour twice a week at the Commercial Building at the Cloud County Fairgrounds in Concordia. It starts on Monday, July 24th, and is $10 per person.
