Last month Bluestem Electric Cooperative held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new warehouse facility in Clay Center.

Bluestem general manager Mike Morton says the new building will be a great addition to Bluestem as a whole to better serve their members.

At the old location, Mike says they had to modify the buildings to accommodate their trucks. Size will no longer be an issue at the new facility, being constructed by Schultz Construction of Manhattan, and says there will be room to continue to grow as needed.

Mike says they anticipate being in the building no later than July 1st 2024, assuming weather permits and they don’t run into material shortages.
