Clay Center authorities responded to a disturbance at a residence early Tuesday morning at the 800 block of Blunt St.

Upon arrival, officers encountered multiple gunshots fired from inside the residence. The Clay Center Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Department, and Kansas Highway Patrol responded to the incident.

The suspect, Ronald Wright, 55, of Clay Center was taken into custody. Wright is being held in the Clay County Jail pending charges of attempted second-degree murder. His bond is set at $150,000. There were no injuries in the incident.
