On July 14th, 2023, the City of Concordia had to close the pool and pickleball court for a day after they were both vandalized, resulting in thousands of dollars of damage. The Concordia Police Department has been working on finding the individuals responsible and has now identified two juvenile suspects. Their names have not been released. Charges against the two suspects are being forwarded to the Cloud County Attorney’s Office.

Concordia Police Chief, Brent Gering, said the investigation is continuing as they try to find out if other possible suspects were involved.
