Clay County General Public Transportation will be increasing their on-demand fares from $1 to $2 on August 15th. Any rides scheduled at least a day in advance will remain the $1 fare. Transportation Manager Jay Berends explains all of their rates.
He also tells us the best way to schedule an out-of-town trip.
In total, Jay said they give about 800 rides a month, with the most popular stops being to get groceries and for medical-related trips.
Although they’re not doing anything different for the heat, Jay did note that all their vehicles are air-conditioned
