The new building at the Clay County Fairgrounds has officially been named. At the Commissioner’s meeting, it was unanimously decided to name the new building the Clay County Events Center.

Mike Argo, fair board president, said the Clay County fair had a good turnout this year, and everyone was pleased with the new building and having exhibits inside.

The fair board also decided on rental fees for the Events Center.

$100 per hour (if needed just a few hours)

$1500 – 1 day

$2,000 – 2 day

$250 – cleaning deposit (or they will clean for this amount)

$250 – damages (refundable after inspection)

$230 – One-time Event Insurance if alcohol is present (this will be purchased through the Fair Board’s policy. The person renting the building can purchase the alcohol to provide to the guest, but there can be no alcohol sales at the event.)
