Stories of your past – downtown walk

On Saturday, October 14th, 2023, the Clay County Historical Society invites you to a unique reenactment event. In this event, you will be taken on a journey through Clay Center’s history through the experiences of four of its past residents. This one-hour tour involves four stops along Lincoln Ave in Clay Center’s downtown area.
The first tour starts at the Clay County Museum at 10 am.
Tickets are priced at $10 and must be purchased in advance. They may be purchased through our website, www.claycomuseum.com, or at the Clay County Museum.
Reenactments include Heather Dreith as Evelyn McIntosh, the wife of the president of People’s National Bank; Scott Patterson as Bob Weimer, the owner of Weimer Drugs; Steve McMahan as his father, Wilson McMahan, who started Central Office & Supplies, and Troy Pfizenmaier as Rex Carlson, owner of Gate 9 Graphics.
Light refreshments will be available during the event.
