At a Clay County Commissioner Meeting, Michelle Tessaro informed the Board about the return of the band Cloverton to Clay Center for a concert at the Rex Theater in December, which she will organize and promote.
The last time the band visited was in 2020 for a concert in Dexter Park during the pandemic when there were COVID restrictions. Cloverton’s lead singer had contacted Ms. Tessaro expressing their desire to share their music with the community again.
Commissioner Mayo proposed a motion to donate $1,000 from Parks & Rec for the upcoming concert. Commissioner Carlson seconded the motion, and it was unanimously passed.
