Nationwide Insurance and the Kansas FFA have partnered up to expand The Golden Owl Awards to Kansas. The award program highlights outstanding agriculture educators and their dedication to mentoring the next generation of farmers and agricultural leaders. Nominations will run from now to December 31st, 2023. Winners of each region, as well as the grand prize winner for each state, will be announced soon after. Each regional winner will be awarded $500 and receive an engraved plaque to commemorate and thank them for their dedication to the state of Kansas’ agricultural future. Each state’s grand prize winner will receive $3,000 as well as the Golden Owl Award trophy. Students, parents, and fellow teachers are encouraged to go to the Kansas FFA website to nominate an agriculture teacher they believe is worthy of the Golden Owl Trophy!
