Fort Hays State University announced the renewal of funding for the NW Kansas Live and Learn Scholarship in the coming year. The Dane G. Hansen Foundation has committed to another year of support, contributing a total of $810,000 for the project since the scholarship’s launch in 2019.
The NW Kansas Live and Learn Scholarship has been crucial in backing an assorted range of academic programs at FHSU. The scholarship has benefited 69 students across diverse academic disciplines since 2019. These recipients have shown not only outstanding academic achievements but also represent 24 counties within the Dane G. Hansen Foundation service area.
The continued support of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation through this scholarship program has had a major impact on students in Northwest Kansas. Among the 33 graduates who completed their degree programs, 28 are currently either living in or actively contributing their professional services to the Dane G. Hansen service area.
This renewed funding highlights the dedication of both FHSU and the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to empower students and improve educational opportunities in Northwest Kansas. The collaborative efforts have not only fostered academic development but have also played a role in creating a proficient workforce that has a positive impact in the region.
