Boil Water Advisory for Tescott Has Been Rescinded

By Payton Tholstrup

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for the city of Tescott (located in Ottawa County).

The advisory had originally been issued due to a line break which resulted in a loss of pressure in the system. When there is a failure to maintain adequate water pressure, there can be a loss of chlorine residuals. The possibility of bacterial contamination also arises.
