Clay County EMS says car seats are an important tool that keeps children safe while traveling, and if installed properly, they can reduce the risk of serious injury in the event of a head-on collision.

Ron Rose is a car seat technician at CCEMS. He says he and other techs at CCEMS are available to help those traveling with children correctly install car seats:

Rose says CCEMS also has car seats available for free to families who qualify for any type of government assistance.

Rose says the best way to schedule a car seat check is by calling the CCEMS office. All of these services are available to the public for free.
