The Wakefield Library is celebrating Dr. Suess and his efforts to encourage children to develop a love of reading.

The event will be held on Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March 2nd, from 2 to 3pm. March 2nd is also National Read Across America Day.

Kim Orr, the Library’s Director, says there will be a story time, crafts, and snacks.

Orr said she and the rest of the Library’s staff are planning to bring more programming to the Wakefield Library, and that she is looking forward to celebrating Dr. Seuss’ 120th birthday.
