K-State faced a third consecutive loss, this time against Texas Tech, with a score of 5-2 at McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock, Texas. The Wildcats (7-5, 1-3 Big 12) lost the doubles point after splitting the first two matches. In singles, sophomores Maria Santos and Vanesa Suarez secured a win in the no. 3 spot, but freshman Maralgoo Chogsomjav and senior Manami Ukita couldn’t clinch the point in the no. 2 spot. Freshman Charlotte Keitel won her second straight match in the no. 4 position, while freshman Tereza Polakova won the second singles match for K-State in the no. 5 spot. However, the Wildcats fell short in the other singles matches. K-State will host Baylor and TCU next weekend at Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.
