On Thursday, April 25th the Clay Center Community School Band will host an Instrument Night and Petting Zoo for 4th grade students in Clay Center from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The Event will take place at the Clay Center High School in the Auditorium and High School Band room.
Daniela Thrasher, Band Director, said this idea came from a college project years ago.
This night is for all 4th-grade students who may be interested in Band in 5th grade, Thrasher said that even if your student isn’t sure if they want to be in Band, it is still a good idea to come to this event as it’s a great opportunity to try different instruments out.
High School Band members will be in attendance to help the 4th graders learn about the different instruments. This is a wonderful, fun opportunity for 4th graders to get an idea of what Band is all about.
