Clay Center Business and Professional Women (Clay Center BPW) announced their yearly awards to women and businesses in Clay County. According to their Facebook page, “The Clay Center BPW is a bipartisan organization that fosters the success of working women by providing career resources and professional connection.”
Grow Clay County was the first to be awarded and they were named the “Clay Center Business and Professional Women’s Small Business of the Year.” The award celebrates Grow Clay County’s contributions to improving life for Clay County residents, as well as their efforts to continue making social and economic progress. “As the Clay Center BPW, we are proud to honor Grow Clay County for their exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to our community. Their work exemplifies the spirit of empowerment and collaboration that we strive to promote, and we are thrilled to see them recognized for their achievements,” they said.
Natalia Muruato was awarded Clay Center BPW Woman of the Year. Muruato has empowered women in Clay County and works hard to improve the community. “Natalie’s contributions to our local chapter have been invaluable, and her leadership and commitment have helped steer our organization forward,” they said. Natalie has also been instrumental in addressing childcare obstacles in Clay County. “Her advocacy for policies promoting work-life and parental support at Grow Clay County, such as 8-week parental leave and flexible work arrangements demonstrates her commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace environment.”
Clay County Head Start was awarded the Clay Center Business and Professional Women’s Large Business of The Year. “Clay County Head Start has been selected for its dedication to providing opportunities for women to thrive in their workplace. Their commitment to gender equality and professional development has set a shining example for businesses everywhere,” the BPW said. Clay County Head Start has also been making many facility improvements over the past year, creating a more inclusive environment for everyone.
