Clay Center Tiger Sharks Swim Team Celebrating 43 Years of Competition and Sportsmanship

By Ryan Duey

Since 1981, the Clay Center Tiger Sharks Swim Team has been practicing and competing in summer swim meets throughout the area. The team is made up of area kids and coaches coming together to practice and grow in a positive environment.

Jenna Beaver, Tiger Sharks Head Coach, said there is a lot that makes the Tiger Sharks a great team.

Beaver said they will compete in 5 meets throughout June, competing in the Kansas/Nebraska League. Community members can support their local team at next weekend’s meet in Clay Center.

Beaver said that anyone interested in joining the team next year is encouraged to sign up and give it a try. More information on the Tiger Sharks Swim Team can be found on their Facebook Page.
