In response to Executive Order #20-30, Governor Laura Kelly has ordered that flags on all state buildings, grounds, and facilities be flown at half-staff effective immediately until sundown on the day of interment in respect for Kansas House of Representatives Assistant Majority Leader Les Mason. For a decade, he served as the representative for Kansas House District 73 of McPherson.

“Assistant Majority Leader Mason was a devoted public servant,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “For the last decade, he represented his constituents and the McPherson community with honor. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

This flag order will be updated when the date of interment is determined.
