On Saturday, June 15th, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., the Geary County Historical Society and Museum (GCHS) invites the public to a special Victorian Lawn Party at the Starcke House, located next to the museum in Junction City.
This is an event the Historical Society has been wanting to do for a couple of years, said Heather Hagedorn, GCHS Director.
The Starcke House, built in the 1870s by a local jeweler, was passed down through the family into the mid-1900s. Hagedorn said she always calls it a two-part house.
Attendees are encouraged to come in Victorian/Garden Party costumes. Hagedorn said a lot is going on that day, so stop by the Starcke House before or after celebrating Juneteenth or other activities for some Victorian Lemonade while exploring the beautiful Starcke House. More information on this Event can be found on the GCHS Facebook page.
