The Clay County Animal Rescue and Education Center (CCARE) in Clay Center is offering a unique opportunity for children by offering Birthday Parties at the Animal Shelter.
Children and guests turning 6 years of age or older can help make a difference in the community while learning about the shelter and playing with furry friends. John Rieb, CCARE Shelter Manager, said they have had birthday parties in the past, but want this fundraiser to be more set in stone.
Rieb said kids will get to help make treats or fill Kongs for the dogs, along with other fun Shelter activities.
Rieb said Events are scheduled by appointment only and they prefer that those interested book at least two weeks in advance. To get more information or to book a Birthday Party call the Shelter at (785) 777-2522.
