LAWRENCE, Kan. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) named three Jayhawks to the 2024 Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Track & Field teams, recognizing top student-athletes for their excellence in athletics and academics.

Tori Thomas, Gabrielle Gibson, and Dimitrios Pavlidis were honored.

Thomas, a standout in shot put and discus from Hastings, Nebraska, concluded her collegiate career at the NCAA West Preliminary. She holds personal bests of 16.37m in shot put and 55.74m in discus. With a 3.99 GPA, she graduated with a degree in business administration.

Gibson, from Nassau, Bahamas, holds the school record in the 100m and competed at the NCAA West Preliminary. She was named Big 12 Athlete of the Week and maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while pursuing her master’s in business administration.

Pavlidis, from Greece, competed in the NCAA Outdoor National Championship in discus, earning third place. He holds a 3.52 GPA in psychology.
