Wilma M. McGrath, 88, Greenleaf, died Wednesday July 3, 2024 at the Linn Cottages in Linn, KS.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home, Linn, KS.
A graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 8, at the Greenleaf City Cemetery, Greenleaf, KS.
Pallbearers are Shawn McGrath, Evan Meier, Roger McGrath, Mark McGrath, Johnnie Rothlisberger and Randy Lilley.
Burial is in Greenleaf City Cemetery.
Wilma was born on March 7, 1936 to Graydon and Frances (Paugh) Hugunin in rural Green, KS. In 1954 she graduated from Green High School.
On September 26, 1956, Wilma was united in marriage to Burton McGrath. This union was blessed with four children, Roger, Colette, Regina and Mark.
Out of high school, Wilma worked at the ASCS office, then after her marriage she worked alongside Burton on the farm, Cairns Toy Manufacturing, and for Kuhlman Implement in Linn. She drove a school bus for Linn Public School District 223 for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Burton; sister, Joyce Iverson; and brother Lyle Hugunin.
Survivors include children, Roger (Mary) McGrath, Waterville, Colette (Johnnie) Rothlisberger, Barnes, Regina (Randy) Lilley, Topeka and Mark McGrath, Steamboat Springs, CO; sister, Marjorie Meharg, Manhattan, KS; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial fund is established to be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, KS.
