K-State goalkeeper Murphy Sheaff has been named a travelling reserve for the New Zealand Women’s National Team for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Sheaff is the first K-State soccer player to represent her country at the Olympics.
New Zealand will face Canada on July 25, Colombia on July 28, and host France on July 31 in Group A pool play.
Sheaff, previously called up for friendlies against the U.S. and Japan, also represented New Zealand in the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
In 2023, Sheaff played all 18 matches for K-State, recording 1,590:29 minutes in goal, a 1.30 goals-against average, 82 saves, and four shutouts. She set a school record with a 416:44 shutout streak.
