Pawnee Mental Health proudly announces that it has received full certification as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This certification marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive, accessible, high-quality behavioral health services to the community.
By becoming a CCBHC, Pawnee will expand on the great work we have done over the past 67 years, with a focus on increasing access to behavioral and physical health services for people in our community. As a CCBHC, we will provide individuals with the services they need when needed—regardless of their age, insurance status, or ability to pay.
“Our certification as a CCBHC is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our staff, as well as the unwavering support of our community,” said Becky Woodward, Chief Clinical Officer of Pawnee Mental Health. “This achievement is a testament to our shared commitment to meet the diverse needs of those we serve and to make a lasting impact on their well-being.”
The CCBHC model is a comprehensive approach to behavioral health care that integrates physical health with a wide range of mental health and substance use disorder services. It is designed to cater to the needs of vulnerable individuals, taking into account all aspects of their health, including their physical and behavioral health, as well as their social determinants of health that can worsen health conditions.
Pawnee remains committed to being our region’s cornerstone and safety net provider of behavioral health services. With this new certification, we are poised to expand our reach and effectiveness, offering hope and healing to more individuals and families.
