Georgia B. Burch, age 93, entered into rest on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia, Kansas.   She was born on May 13, 1931, in Concordia, Kansas to Walter William and Mabel E. (Strait) Walden.

Georgia attended Concordia Public Schools.

She married Charles E. Burch on February 1, 1952 in Concordia, Kansas.

She was a member of the First Christian, and the VFW Auxilary, both of Concordia, Kansas.

Georgia was employed by Fairmont Foods for 10 years and St. Joseph Hospital for 13 years.

She enjoyed gardening and all sorts of crafts, especially crocheting.

Georgia is survived by her two sons, Doug Burch (Estrellita), Lucas, KS; David Burch, Lawrence, KS; one brother, Daryl Dean Walden.

9 grandchildren; Brandon Dooley (Mijin), Dustin Dooley (Abby), Abby Dooley, Ashton Dooley, Kyle Burch (Kelsey), Kelley Burch, Jaylon Burch, Jenner Burch, Kinley Burch. and 4 great grandchildren

She was preceded by her husband, Charles Burch, her parents, sisters Ruth McDaniel, Marjorie Nuss, Colleen Peil Cox and one brother Jack Walden, her daughter, Char Dooley, son, Ron Burch.

Georgia’s wish was to be cremated.  There will be no visitation.

A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas with Pastor Bob Burns officiating.
