On July 18th, 2024, the Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan had its grand opening of its new Early Learning Center. They also celebrated their 30th Anniversary. The new center will serve children from 6 weeks old to 5 years old. Boys and Girls Club has a total of 14 locations across Manhattan and Wamego. The new center has 9 classrooms and is licensed for 156 kids.

Hannah Coash-Frye, CEO of Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan, expressed the importance of this facility. “There’s just not enough childcare slots really across the entire state of Kansas and especially here in Manhattan.” Opening another center in Manhattan allows them to serve more kids in the area.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America is a nonprofit organization. They provide programs and services to promote the development of boys and girls. Their mission is to enable all young people to reach their full potential.
