Clear the Shelters Month About to Kick Off at CCARE

By: Ryan Duey

The Clay County Animal & Rescue Center (CCARE) will participate in the nationwide “Clear The Shelters” pet adoption and donation initiative from August 10th to September 10th. This yearly initiative has helped over one million pets find new homes since its inception in 2015.

John Rieb, Shelter Manager, said Clear the Shelters is one of the big yearly projects they do throughout the Shelter.

On top of the Spin the Wheel Saturdays they will also host a special event on September 7th in hopes of finding new homes for all the dogs at the Shelter.

Visit CCARE’s Facebook page or website to see all the adoptable dogs.  Give the Shelter a call during their business hours for information on this initiative.
