Abilene Chapter NSDAR to Host American Revolution Experience Exhibit

By: Ryan Duey

The Abilene Chapter NSDAR is bringing an exciting traveling exhibit to the Abilene Public Library from August 19th through the 27th. The American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit offers an interactive experience of the people and places that shaped our nation.

Dee Marshall, Chapter Regent, said there will be twelve pop-up screens with kiosks where people can interact.

Marshall said there are only four of these exhibits in the country.  She was part of the committee that helped make this exhibit available in 2022. She said the waiting list is very large, and this has become an overwhelmingly popular exhibit.

Marshall said seeing this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and she encourages all to visit it.

The DAR will host an opening reception on Monday, August 19th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and the display will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is a great chance to learn about the country’s founding as we near America’s 250th birthday.
