Governor Laura Kelly announced today that MARSHALLTOWN, a leading supplier of high-quality tools and products for major brands like Lowe’s and Home Depot, will invest $27 million to establish a new distribution center in Wyandotte County. Upon completion, the facility is expected to generate 40 new jobs in the Kansas City area.
MARSHALLTOWN will establish its new 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at Scannell Properties’ 435 Logistics Park. This satellite location will feature both warehouse and distribution space.
MARSHALLTOWN provides over 9,000 products for various construction and home improvement needs to customers globally through an extensive distribution network.
Founded in 1890 by brothers Jesse and Lester Williams as a machine shop and repair business for automobiles and bicycles, MARSHALLTOWN has been built on hard work, integrity, and dedication to excellence. These core values have been passed down through generations, shaping MARSHALLTOWN into the esteemed family-owned company it remains today. As the company has grown and innovated, it has stayed true to its roots, consistently producing high-quality products that uphold the standards set by the Williams family 134 years ago.
“I am thrilled to announce MARSHALLTOWN’s plans to build a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in the Kansas City metro area that will significantly enhance our logistics capabilities,” MARSHALLTOWN COO Jack Murders said. “This strategically located facility is set to become a key hub for distribution and a vital transfer point between our operations. We believe this move represents another forward-thinking step for MARSHALLTOWN, reinforcing our commitment to strategic growth and operational excellence.”
