Colten Tadtman, a standout catcher for the Clay Center Tigers, has committed to play college baseball at Highland for the 2025-26 season. Known for his defensive skills, Tadtman has thrown out 40 base runners during his high school career.

In an interview with Gary Van Cleave, Tadtman reflected on his journey, saying, “It’s been a goal of mine ever since I picked up a bat.” He credits growing up around the game with his father, who works for K-State, as a major influence on his passion for baseball. Last spring, Tadtman batted .432 with a .589 on-base percentage, earning second-team All-State honors.

Teammates like Brody Hayes and Liam Annand praised Tadtman for his leadership and work ethic. As Tadtman prepares to take his skills to the college level, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue playing the game he loves.
