The initial results of Blue Rapids Circle of Giving Match Day that took place from Saturday, September 14th to Monday, September 16th show that 413 gifts totaling nearly $83,000 were given to 24 different charitable funds.
This year donations up to $5000 were matched 50% per organization thanks to generous donors. Four organizations received full matching funds, with many falling just short of the $5000 mark. Will Clark, Community Foundation Board President, said thanks to the Patterson Foundation they have quickly grown.
For the second straight year the Match Day has exceeded the $70,000 match goal. Over Match weekend the community and citizens of Blue Rapids showed great support to their local non-profits. Full results can be found on the Blue Rapids Match Day website.
