Hope Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center, a nonprofit organization that offers therapeutic riding lessons to people with a wide array of disabilities, will host its Fall Horse Show and Open House on Saturday, October 19th starting at 8:00 a.m., on their Ranch outside of Manhattan.
The Open House will feature horse rides, various vendors, delicious food, and more. Cathy Scroggs, co-owner of Hope Ranch, said there will be special guests this year and they have added a fundraiser and raffle to this year’s Open House.
Scroggs said their 35-acre Ranch was Founded in 2006 by Ken Scroggs and his 10-year-old daughter. Program Coordinator Tre Holmes, is a Certified Instructor of Riders with Disabilities, offering lessons to people of all abilities.
Scroggs said the main event is the Horse Show, and anybody of any ability can be part of the event.
Tack and saddle donations and Horse Show registration need to be completed by Tuesday, October 1st. Scroggs said they are also seeking sponsors for the event and are always looking for volunteers on the Ranch.
