FHDC Foundation’s Annual Bison, Beef, & Bourbon Benefit Event Set for Later This Month

By: Ryan Duey

The Flint Hills Discover Center Foundation will host its annual benefit Fundraiser on Thursday, October 24th with an evening of Bison, Beef, and Bourbon starting at 6:00 p.m. This 21-and-over event will take place at the Liquid Art Winery & Estate just outside of Manhattan.

The event will feature signature drinks and a delicious meal of Bison and Beef from Kite’s Drafthouse. Lesley White, Foundation Director, said there will also be local entertainment starting at 7:15.

Proceeds from the event go toward youth education programs at the Discovery Center. White said money from the auctions goes directly to the youth programs.  They also will finish with a “Fund the Need” benefit for a special project.

White said they are also holding two raffles where you can win great prizes such as game tickets to a Chiefs game and a four-wheeler. Raffle tickets for those two items and tickets for the Bison, Beef, and Bourbon event can be found on the Discovery Center’s website under the support tab.
