Hammond’s Candies Recalls Dark Chocolate Waffle Cones Due to Undeclared Milk

A Colorado-based candy shop, Hammond’s Candies, has issued a recall after one of its products triggered an allergic reaction.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that four-ounce bags of “Dark Chocolate Filled Mini Waffle Cones” are being recalled due to undeclared milk. The FDA warns that consuming the product could pose serious or life-threatening risks to those with milk allergies or sensitivities.

During the company’s investigation, testing revealed the presence of milk proteins in amounts higher than trace levels, which were not listed on the packaging. The company is continuing to investigate the cause of the issue.

The recalled product has been distributed in Kansas, 37 other states, and Washington, D.C.
