The Lady Tigers took on an incredibly strong field Saturday at the Concordia Invitational. Clay Center went 3-1 in pool play with their only loss to Beloit, who is #1 Ranked in 3A. It’s the second loss to Beloit this season. But Clay Center would face Beloit again on Saturday for the tournament title and brought home Gold in a three set classic. There were a lot of big hitters for the Lady Tigers: Raimee Lipker had 45 kills to go along with 5 blocks, 41 digs and 9 aces in the four matches. Lily Edwards 31 kills, 2 blocks and 35 digs; Ayla Johnson 29 kills and 6 blocks; Addy Pladson 25 kills, 5 blocks and 8 aces; Raegann McDonald 12 kills, 11 blocks and 4 aces and Janae Crimmins racked up 112 assists, 21 digs and 2 aces. Clay Center is now 22-3 and tied with Andale for the top record in the West Substate.
