Paul “Taylor” Meek, age 87, passed away at his home in Clay Center, KS on September 19, 2024. He was born to Fred and Nell (Trechsel) Meek on October 20, 1936, in Clay Center, KS. Taylor attended Idana Grade School and graduated from Clay Center High School. He joined the United States Navy after high school and served his country from 1954-1957. After his time in the service, he attended Kansas State University as well as Park College in Kansas City. Taylor married Jacquelyn “Jacque” Shell on August 12, 1967. To this union two daughters were born, Michelle and Paula. Taylor was a grain and livestock farmer for most of his adult life. He was a member of the Idana Presbyterian Church, a past volunteer for Red Cross and served as president on the COOP board. Taylor enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his most satisfying hobby was making reenactments of Civil War Cannons. He is preceded in death by parents, and brother, Trechsel Meek

Funeral Services: Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:30 AM at the Idana Cemetery in Idana, KS
