Greg Ferguson, Athletic Director at Clay Center High School, has been named the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association (KWCA) 4A Boys Administrator of the Year. The award recognizes Ferguson’s contributions to the wrestling program at the school.
Brandon Pigorsch, the school’s wrestling coach, nominated Ferguson for the award.
“Greg’s just been super supportive for me as a coach and for our wrestling program. He does a great job of communicating with the kids and making sure we get what we need,” Pigorsch said.
Ferguson was instrumental in expanding the girls’ wrestling program at Clay Center, with Pigorsch noting his role in growing opportunities for both boys and girls.
“He’s been instrumental in making it a sport here,” Pigorsch added.
Upon receiving the award, Ferguson said,
“I am humbled and honored to be nominated by Coach Pigorsch and selected for this award by KWCA. We have a great wrestling community here in Clay Center that really supports our kids and our program.”
The award, given in 2024, highlights Ferguson’s dedication to supporting the school’s athletic programs and ensuring their continued success.
