Clay County Medical Center Earns Five-Star Rating for Quietness from CMS

CCMC Release

Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is proud to announce that it has been
recognized by Becker’s as one of 313 hospitals nationwide to receive a prestigious CMS five-star
rating for quietness. This rating reflects CCMC’s commitment to providing a peaceful environment
for patients during their stay, emphasizing the importance of quality care and comfort.

The five-star rating comes from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) “Patient
survey (HCAHPS)-Hospital” database, which assesses hospital performance based on patient
feedback. The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS)
survey, completed between October 2022 and September 2023, evaluates various aspects of patient
experience, with quietness at night being a crucial factor. CCMC stands out as one of only 11
hospitals in Kansas to achieve this esteemed recognition.

“Our team at Clay County Medical Center is dedicated to creating a healing environment for our
patients,” said Julie Crimmins, Director of Inpatient Services at Clay County Medical Center. “Receiving
a five-star rating for quietness is a testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to patient-centered care. We understand that a restful atmosphere is vital to recovery, and we strive to ensure
that every patient feels comfortable and at ease during their stay.”

The data for the ratings was last updated on July 31, highlighting the continuous efforts of CCMC to
enhance the patient experience through improved facilities and attentive care.

Clay County Medical Center remains committed to excellence in healthcare and will continue to
prioritize the comfort and well-being of its patients. This recognition reinforces the hospital’s mission
to provide quality care to everyone, every time.
