K-State Soccer Falls to Arizona State 2-0

Kansas State fell 2-0 to Arizona State on Thursday night at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium, as the Wildcats continue to search for their first Big 12 road win of the season. Arizona State took control early, scoring in the 20th minute and adding an insurance goal late in the second half.

Arizona State opened the scoring when Keri Matthews finished from 12 yards out after a setup by Enasia Colon. K-State’s best chance came in the 53rd minute when Jo Sees fired a shot that required a diving save from the Sun Devils’ goalkeeper. Arizona State sealed the win with a 20-yard strike in the 85th minute.

K-State goalkeeper Murphy Sheaff recorded five saves, marking her 10th match this season with five or more stops. Arizona State outshot K-State 15-7, while the Wildcats had a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

K-State will complete its road schedule on Sunday against Arizona. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
