CCMC Release
Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a five-star rating for patient recommendations, as recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review. This esteemed rating, based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), highlights the exceptional care provided by CCMC.
The five-star rating is derived from survey data collected between October 2022 and September 2023,
reflecting the experiences of hospital patients. It combines responses to three key survey questions
that gauge whether patients would recommend the hospital to their friends and family. Of the 464
hospitals nationwide receiving this rating, only 17 are located in Kansas, underscoring the quality of
care at Clay County Medical Center.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this five-star rating,” said Austin Gillard, CEO of Clay County
Medical Center. “This recognition reflects our dedicated team’s commitment to providing
outstanding patient care and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who walks through our
doors. We are grateful to our community for their trust and support.”
The results, released on July 31, showcase CCMC’s commitment to excellence in healthcare, further
solidifying its reputation as a leading medical facility in Kansas. This achievement not only
highlights patient satisfaction but also reinforces the hospital’s dedication to continuous improvement
and high-quality care.
