How Great Thou Art Mural Complete

A Mural Movement is thrilled to announce the completion of a mural in Clay Center, KS.
Generous local donors from the recent Match Day event and partnership with Clay County Arts
Council provided financial support for the project. The mural is located at The Elks Lodge
611 5th St, Clay Center, KS.

Designed by local artist Tracy Lebo, this work is titled How Great Thou Art.

“My hope is for this mural is to awaken beautiful thoughts,” said Lebo.

Lebo described the artwork, “On the far left is a wooden cross reflecting the silver lining of a sunny
sky atop a flowering hill. In the far upper right, yellow-orange sun rays shine through an American
flag waving in the breeze. In the bottom center, a bugling elk is overlooking rolling farm fields of
golden wheat.”

During the painting of this mural, Lebo enjoyed visits by tourists from all over the state of Kansas.

The new artwork is positioned across the street from the Prairie Thunder mural, also completed
this year. Both projects are part of the Mural Walk in downtown Clay Center.
