The Kansas Department of Commerce has launched the Love, Kansas campaign to attract talent and boost the state’s workforce and economy. The initiative encourages people to relocate to Kansas, highlighting its abundant job opportunities, affordable housing, high quality of life, and excellent education system. It particularly targets “boomerangs”—people with previous ties to the state—while inviting families from across the country to consider Kansas as their home.
Cloud County, an official partner in the campaign, will host a local promotion on December 7 at Broadway Plaza as part of the Deck the Halls event. The campaign invites citizens to send postcards to former residents, encouraging them to return and contribute to the county’s growth. The postcards feature original watercolor artwork by Abbi Peterson and are accompanied by a commemorative ornament from Concordia Technologies Inc. A special mailbox, constructed by Concordia Junior-Senior High School students, will be placed at the Plaza to collect the postcards.
Attendees at the launch event can also enjoy a gift basket drawing and a visit from Santa. After the event, postcards will be available for pickup in various locations across Concordia, Clyde, Miltonvale, Glasco, and Jamestown. For more information, people are encouraged to visit the Love, KS website.
