Saline County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Help in Locating Drug Suspect

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public to locate 56-year-old Ronald E. Clayton, who fled on foot from a residence in the Sundowner West Mobile Home Park early Tuesday morning. Deputies were dispatched at around 6:25 a.m. in response to a service call related to Clayton, who is wanted for a probation violation warrant out of McPherson County. Eyewitnesses reported seeing several law enforcement vehicles in the area, including both Saline County Sheriff’s and Kansas Highway Patrol units.

Clayton is described as a white male, 5’9″ tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his escape, he was wearing a black Pittsburgh Steelers pullover, blue sweatpants, and insulated coveralls. Clayton’s warrant stems from a violation of probation, which he had been serving after a previous conviction for methamphetamine possession. The specific reason for the violation has not been disclosed.

The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information on Clayton’s whereabouts to contact 911 immediately. Authorities also advised residents in the area to remain cautious and not to approach Clayton if spotted.
