SunFed Recalls Fresh Cucumbers Linked to Salmonella Outbreak in U.S. and Canada

SunFed Produce, LLC is recalling whole fresh American cucumbers due to possible Salmonella contamination. These cucumbers were sold between October 12 and November 26, 2024, in bulk containers labeled “SunFed,” or in plain white boxes or black plastic crates with a sticker showing the grower’s name, “Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.”

The cucumbers were distributed across 26 U.S. states, including Kansas, as well as Canadian provinces like Alberta and Ontario. They may have reached consumers through stores and foodservice outlets, even in areas not listed.

The recall was issued after the FDA linked these cucumbers to Salmonella cases reported between October 12 and November 15, 2024. SunFed is notifying its buyers, and no other SunFed products or suppliers are affected.

Consumers should check for these recalled cucumbers and avoid eating, serving, or selling them. Dispose of the product and clean any surfaces it touched. If unsure about purchases, contact the retailer. Anyone feeling unwell after eating the cucumbers should seek medical advice. For more details, contact SunFed’s recall hotline.
