The Frankfort Community Foundation is set to host its annual “Frankfort Giving Day” tomorrow, December 3rd. This year, participating area organizations will receive a 50% match on donations thanks to generous sponsors.
Area citizens can take part in this day of giving in person from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Altstadt Galerie, where eligible non-profits will be there to answer questions about their funds.
Last year K’Lyn Bergman, Treasurer, spoke about this annual event.
“We started this in 2018 and every year it seems to be doing better and better. So, this year it’s going to be held tomorrow from 7:00 to 5:30 at the Altstadt Galerie here on Main Street in Frankfort.”
Since 2021 generous donors helped raise over $100,000 each year, with a total of just over $200,000 being raised last year from over 800 donors. Bergman said matching funds come from local businesses, and others.
“We have about 40 nonprofits participating. We’ve got local businesses putting up matching donations. It’s a great event that goes very well every year and we hope to continue that.”
If you can’t make it to the Altstadt Galerie, donations can be accepted via mail by check, the check must be dated December 3rd, or conveniently online at www.frankfortgives.com from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Visit the website for more information.
