Clay Center Community High School (CCCHS) seniors Jace Weller and Owen Craig were guest speakers at the Lions Club’s weekly meeting on December 10th. Weller and Craig spoke about this year’s basketball season and team goals.
Weller and Craig started by speaking about their high school activities, hobbies, and future plans. They then spoke and answered questions about the season. Weller said this year’s squad has eight seniors, who have played together for a long time.
Craig said he feels they will have great support this year from the community. Weller said they have the players this year to have a great year, he thinks the biggest challenge will be playing unselfishly and as a team.
Craig said Rock Creek joined the league this year and will be a tough opponent.
With the experience and talent coming back this season, the eight seniors are hoping and expecting to finish their basketball careers at CCCHS in great fashion.
